Sum Camp
Sum Camp seeks interns to partner with our arts teachers to help develop, test, and package a brand new and engaging math curriculum that uses the arts to help children develop a basic sense of numeracy. This is a unique opportunity not only to work in the community but to meet amazing kids! For the first part of the summer, interns will work with teachers to develop a curriculum and during the month of July, interns will work daily with students in grades four and five to help them develop a love of math. Expertise in math is not required. A love of learning, the arts, and enjoying new ways of thinking is all you need. You will work alongside our instructors throughout the day, encouraging and guiding students to be their best math selves. This is a truly rewarding experience that focuses on a small group of students in the Waterville public school system. Come have fun and play games with us! Internships are from May to August for 35 hours per week (approximately 10 weeks).
