The Center for the Arts and Humanities is proud to announce a new paid internship initiative for Colby students at cultural institutions in Waterville and the surrounding area. These internships offer wonderful opportunities for Colby students to gain professional experience, perform applied research, and embrace their local community in meaningful ways while learning about:

  • Arts Administration
  • Arts and Economic Development
  • Arts Education
  • Arts Festival Management
  • Arts Marketing

These internships may range from 30-35 hours a week and are compensated at an hourly wage of $13.00. Successful applicants will live and eat on the Colby campus (for a modest fee: likely to be $125 per week). The internships range from six to ten weeks. Students should select from the list of opportunities below:

  • The Maine Film Center
  • Common Street Arts
  • Waterville Creates!
  • The L.C. Bates Museum
  • The Waterville Public Library
  • The Waterville Historical Society
  • The Waterville Opera House

3. Prepare your cover letter
4. Prepare you resume and save as a PDF
5. Identify a current or former employment supervisor to request a reference, and let them know that they will be prompted to fill out a reference survey once you enter their name and email address in the application.
